About

I am 30 years old living in São Paulo since I was 24. I am originally from Campinas, a city in the interior of the São Paulo state. I lived and I am always traveling to small but interesting cities in Brazil and the world. When I was 15 I lived in a farm village in Holland called Emmer-Compasscuum and since than I really enjoy being close to the countryside and nature. Gladly, my work is always taking me to such places. 8 years ago I started to travel around Brazil documenting the craft cachaça production. Cachaça is our native spirit being produced in Brazil since the 1500 (may be the oldest spirit from America). It all started as a hobby, but since 2010 I manage to make it my work. Recently, I also created Brazilian first craft gin, it is called Virga.
