Local experience

5 years of experience in the best hotel in town (Arts Hotel) has taught me many touristics secrets. I have a lot of business card from places I find in regular tours I like to make to search new spots in town.
Findind new restaurants is my obsession.
My "must see" list:
-visit inside Sagrada Familia
-a drink with a stuning view of the city in Mirablau Restaurant
-tour inside Montijuic Parc
-a stop by in "El Champanyet"
-tapas at "Cerveceria Catalana"
-walk tour in Gracia Village and the Old Town
-Try the famous "Patatas Bravas" at "Bar Tomás"
-to have a glass of wine while watching the fountains show at Plaza Espanya
and much more I could describe...

Muito simpático, se preocupou em saber o que buscávamos para montar seu roteiro, conhece muito bem a cidade e contribuiu com informações históricas e culturais muito agregadoras ao passeio.

Silvio was a great guide for our first time in Barcelona! We did not plan much for our trip and we spent half a day with Silvio on our first day to get a feel for the city. Silvio displayed a high level of interest and understanding of the city's history. He was also quite knowledgeable on the local gastronomy, drinks and wine as well - we visited many small bars and restaurants which are not always available through internet searches. His prior work experience in the hospitality industry was evident as he had a great breath of information on the local hot spots. While Silvio was able to provide interesting tidbits throughout the tour, he was also gracious enough to answer all of our questions with great candor. He truly loves the city and it showed on his tour. Probably the best thing about Silvio was his ability to flex to meet our needs. About 2.5 hours into the tour, my feet were shot and I couldn't walk anymore (I blame it on the shoes). We stopped at a local bar and grabbed a couple drinks and spend the next hour or so talking about the city. Silvio pulled out a map and marked all the areas we saw, giving us a great overview of the previous 3 hours. He then went further to help us plan the next 3 days by highlighting must see attractions, must eat foods, and restaurant recommendations. It felt like we were talking to an old friend over drinks. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in Barcelona and much of that had to do with the information Silvio provided. It was like hours of googling condensed into a comprehensive, personally tailored map of the city. It wasn't tripadvisor's top 10, DK travel must do's, or 4 days in Barcelona by Rick Steves - it was the local guide to enjoying Barcelona by a local. Money well spent. We'll definitely be back and when we do, we'll call up Silvio to make us another map. Cheers!

This is a cozy small bar at the Gothic neighborhood. Having a cold beer or a nice spanish wine and trying some tapas is the must to do! Its terrace, placed in front of the old Romanic Walls, makes you feel in a diferent atmosphere - it's a whole experience!
