This service was created by Alice, a Brazilian-Portuguese journalist and experienced traveller who, after years of being on the road, concluded that to grasp the genuine spirit of a place you have to come in closer contact with it, from a more familiar perspective. Only by mixing with the locals, one can truly get to know a city’s people, gastronomy, culture and hidden gems.

Alice noticed that with each outing with a different local friend, her experience was even more real and complete. Being able to discover the city as an “adopted local”, rather than a tourist, was definitely a fantastic way to travel! So she decided to extend that possibility to other travellers who share this same feeling.

Realising that this idea was being enthusiastically received, Alice invited some of her friends - who had a similar way of living and outlook on the world - to join the project. The resulting multicultural group could be described as:
